Visiskai teisingai. Ypatingas tuom, kad sio automobilio variklis galejo dirbti su ivairiomis degalu rusimis, tiek su dyzelinu, tiek su benzinu, tam tereikedavo perjungti viena svirtele ant vairo kaloneles. Automobilyje buvo sumontuoti du degalu bakai, dyzelio gale ir benzino priekyje, o taip pat dvi nuosekliai sujungtos greiciu dezes (jeigu neklystu 3 ir 4 laipsniu). I had the opportunity to speak a couple of years ago in Toronto with what was back in 1943 a young SS-guard assigned to protect the Berghof-residence of A. H. in Bavaria – the man died this January – and he told me that from what he could see back then, when they were at the Berghof, Hitler definitely kept E. Contemporary pictures show her mostly sitting in 170V or 230 Mercedes-cars, and always being driven. A chauffeur was assigned to her for shopping etc., and it is to this day not clear if she even owned a driving licence. As well, one might wonder why no picture ever surfaced of her in this 540K. Certainly, at least a few pictures would have proudly been shot if …

Finally, I have a letter by Dr. Harry Niemann, the chief of the DaimlerChrysler Archives in Stuttgart, confirming my writings in the MBMC-Journal, debunking the myth, but the problem is summed up in what Frank Barrett, of the “Star” told me: “How do you prove a negative ?”.
People want to believe the myth, but be spared the facts.
